Novellus Finance have announced their sponsorship extension of recently turned professional Sara Byrne for the 2025 season.
Sara turned pro in September 2024 coming off the back of a very successful amateur career. Having attended the University of Miami, Sara secured two wins on the collegiate circuit during her final year before returning home for a summer of representative golf. She proudly represented Ireland at the European Championships, played for the International Team at the Arnold Palmer Cup in Lahinch, and fulfilled a childhood dream by competing for Team GB&I at the Curtis Cup, where they defeated Team USA for the first time since 2016. With all her amateur goals accomplished, the next step for Sara was to turn professional.
Novellus began their partnership with Sara before she turned professional, and she has hit the ground running since. Playing two events on the Ladies European Tour, she made both cuts on her debut before heading to LPGA and LET Q-School where she secured Epson Tour Status and her full LET Card ahead of the 2025 season.
When talking about her partnership with Novellus, Sara said: “What makes it so unique is the personal relationship I have with everyone at Novellus. Billy McManus came up to me before I even started my first professional event, and it just shows the vision he has and the faith he has in me as an athlete and other athletes. That just really aligned with all my goals and the person I want to be. That was just a great way to start off a partnership.
Theres a lot of adversity when it comes to professional sport but especially at professional golf with the amount of travel. The support that I’ve got off Novellus really just helps me focus on playing golf. They make the admin side and the whole other side of golf and professional sport just so easy that it just helps making play golf that little bit easier.”
Novellus CEO, Billy McManus said: “It’s a real pleasure for us to be continuing our partnership with Sara. She has had a fantastic start to her professional career. It’s so clear that her passion and energy will inspire many young players to take up the game at this exciting time for the Woman’s game. Ireland have a brilliant crop of players and a superb role model in Leona to look up to as they start to make their mark in the professional ranks.
On top of all of her immense talent, she is a great person and continues to ask for ways she can help promote and support Novellus which we don’t take for granted at all and really appreciate. We have no doubt 2025 will be an exciting year for Sara and we can’t wait to follow her progress.”
